Aim Constraint

Point constraint

When the point constraint is placed the target object snaps to the middle of the two master objects, and will move when either of the master objects are moved

Point light

Len flares are good for adding to the visual quality of the scene
I did this by first making a point light then in optical effects attributes enabled lens flare.
I can also change the colour to fit the theme of the scene

Set Driven key

In animation mode i selected Set driven key in the Key tab
Then i selected the two objects that i wanted to use
after selecting the variables i want to link, i clicked key to set the initial position, then i moved them to there moved position.

Maya rigging

To prepare a skin texture for animation we need to add points in which the texture moves around
to do this I went to the Create Joints tool in the skeleton tab on the rigging menu.
To attach the texture to the bones that i have created i shift selected the mesh then clicked interactive bind skin in the skin tab

Fluid emissions

To make the glow from behind the ships i used fluid emissions
I did this by changing to the FX tab and then creating a 3D Container under the tab Fluids
Then creating a shape within the container and selecting emit from object
